The famous Briccole (channel markers) are groups of 3 pilings that
mark the navigable channels in the Venice lagoon & provide
important information to seafarers.
Approximately every 20 years the channel markers need to be
replaced after they have been corroded by salt and more seriously
eroded by a shipworm which tunnels into wood
Locherber Milano uses the salvaged channel markers to create
unique objects which are rich in history and fine examples of
